Totally agree with Mike (as always) on US journalism. I grew up in the UK and came to the US as an adult in the 1980s. I found the 'human interest' style of US journalism annoying. What happens to an individual may or may not be representative of a trend or the effect of a policy but one instance is not statistically significant ("all Indians walk in single file, at least the one I saw did"). Tell me what's happening, why, and what could come next, the rest is irrelevant.
